讲座题目(Title):Six Decades of Research on Language Aptitude: A Systematic Review and Critique
讲座摘要(Abstract):
Language aptitude refers to a set of cognitive abilities that are predictive of learning rate and ultimate attainment in a second language. Aptitude made its debut in the 1950s, and since then, a voluminous body of research has been conducted on its predictive power and interface with instructional treatments. This talk seeks to provide a systematic, in-depth synthesis of the literature that has accumulated in the past six decades, including theoretical models, empirical evidence, and practical applications. The talk will introduce the latest advances in aptitude research, particularly the conceptualization and measurement of implicit language aptitude and evidence on the validity of the construct.
专家简介(Bio)
Shaofeng Li,博士,美国佛罗里达州立大学教育学院二语习得与语言教育方向负责人,副教授,博士研究生导师。目前担任《国际语言学习心理学会会刊》(IAPLL Journal)联合主编,Journal of Applied Linguistics Research Methods主编。在语言学能(aptitude)、任务型语言教学的个体差异研究方面发表高水平论文30余篇。
